America In Disbelief As Angie Is Eliminated From Idol
After reviewing what most of the media outlets and blogs have written about the results, most everyone is astounded at what happened; what did happen? Personally (and I’m obviously biased
I think:
1. The hometown video reels the producers put together were more emotionally heart tugging for Candice and Kree.
2. Candice (yes she is a great singer but she is not the total package like Angie) was extremely favored by the judges last night. When you have three great singers, I don’t think the judges should say anything to bias the viewers, just let America vote and let it play out naturally.
3. The judges were very critical of Kree and that made her fans go out and vote like crazy nijas.
Angie, we are extremely saddened that you are not in the finale like we all hoped. But as usual you are taking it all with grace and faith that “this is not the end, but only the beginning”. USA Today posts a conference call interview today, Angie responds:
On not winning: “Candice killed it, she did amazing. I knew she was going to be in the finale, obviously. So, yeah, I think it was between me and Kree. Which was terrible, because she’s my best friend in the competition. It stunk that we had to leave each other. But this is not the end, but only the beginning”
On the judges’ fondness for her performances at the piano: “Honestly, at first, it was upsetting. I felt like they thought I was only good when I was playing the piano. I was like, ‘I promise you I can be just as good without it!’ I feel like I had to work to prove that to them.”
On the kind of music she hopes to make: “I’m not going to go into the Christian genre, I’m not going to go into pop. I want to have music that has meaning and is real. … I don’t want to have dance-party music, but at the same time, I don’t want to put people to sleep. i want to incorporate the soulful piano sound with a lot of edge. … I know the message that I want to send out, and I know the music I want to do. I can’t wait to show it to people.”
On Kree Harrison: “Me and Kree have been roommates since Top 20. … I can’t imagine going through this competition without her. It was weird, waking up this morning without her, now that she’s not my roommate anymore. … Kree’s like a mom, she really is. And she never thinks about herself.
On Candice Glover: “Candice is just the funnest person to be around. I wish America could just sit in a room and talk with her for five minutes, because they’d understand how hysterical she is.”
Her favorite Idol moment: “My favorite moment ever on Idol is still in Hollywood Week when I was able to do my original, You Set Me Free. … I feel like that was the moment it really started for me. I was able to show America who I was as an artist, as a songwriter. That’s when everything changed.”
On family members and friends getting “Dream Big” tattoos: “It’s the most random thing,” she says, “but it means so much, because it’s so permanent and so real.”
On Idol without judge Randy Jackson: “He’s been a huge part of the show. I feel so blessed to have been on a year with him, to be a part of his journey. I’m grateful that he was a part of mine. … It’ll definitely be weird without him. He’s the only one who’s been here forever.”
Who she’d pick as a judge for next season: “It would be so cool if someone who had been on American Idol came on as a judge. That would be fantastic.”

Angie Miller American Idol Home Town Visit to Beverly Massachusetts
Home town visit!!! After making the top 3 on American Idol last night, Angie Miller is headed to her hometown of Beverly Massachusetts. The planned events to honor Angie kick off at 3 pm with a parade (route shown below) that will start at the Beverly City Hall and run through the downtown area and finish up at the Beverly High School for a concert featuring none other than our most loved Idol Angie Miller. If you live in the Boston area, the cost of the concert/parking is all free and the weather on Saturday is suppose to be beautiful with sunny skies and in the mid 50′s.
Beverly is a city in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 39,502 at the 2010 census. A resort, residential, and manufacturing community on the Massachusetts North Shore, Beverly includes Beverly Farms and Prides Crossing. Here is the rest of the Wikipedia reference on Beverly.
Here is a great home town visit article on the entire day of events on Saturday from the Beverly Patch:
American Idol: Angie Miller Is In The Top 3!!!
Keep voting everyone!!!
American Idol: Angela Miller And Harry Connick Team Up
Angie Miller, Diamonds
Angie Miller, Someone to Watch Over Me
Amber Holcomb, Just Give Me a Reason
Amber Holcomb, My Funny Valentine
Candice Glover, You’ve Changed
Candice Glover, When I Was Your Man
Kree Harrison, See You Again
Kree Harrison, Stormy Weather
Angie sings Diamonds by Rihanna first at the piano with a crystal clear tone and elegance. The judges were not as impressed with her arrangement saying that it just didn’t go any place. Nicki commented that she thought her performance was bland and lackluster. However we think the judges are just “projecting” since they are getting tired themselves; we think the judges are unusually bland and lackluster this entire season!
Keith Urban: “I would say if you are going to take a song and change the arrangement, you are free to change the melody too.”
Nicki Minaj: “This seemed different than anyone of your piano performances that I’ve ever witnessed, you can do a lot better.”
Randy Jackson: “It just didn’t go anywhere, once you hit the chorus, that was it. Even you singing into your highest heights, there was no where to go.”
Mariah Carey: ” I must admit it seemed like you were playing to the camera more than the usual Angie, lost in the moment of playing.”
Angie’s second performance was singing “Someone to Watch Over Me” by Frank Sinatra, it was truly beautiful, Keith is right!
Here are the other comments:
Keith Urban: “It was beautiful.”
Nicki Minaj: “You always remind me of a Disney princess…like the Beauty and the Beast and I can see you doing that kind of music or Broadway or something.”
Randy Jackson: “I loved the beginning, but he didn’t love the middle arrangement, but you had an amazing vocal.”
Mariah Carey: “Like you, my mom used to sing this song all the time, I just love when you are at the piano.”
What did you think? BE SURE TO VOTE FOR ANGIE EVERYONE!!!
Angela Miller: American Idol Top 4 Results Night
Update: Just as was rumored, no one goes home tonight since the “judges save” which was never used this year allowed there to be no one voted off tonight. The good news is that Angie is safe for another week!! The four contestants were grouped into the “top 2″ (Angie and Kree) and “bottom 2″ (Amber and Candice) and after announcing that Angie and Kree were safe, Ryan says “and the one going home tonight”….drum roll….”no one”. So after a bunch of anticipation the “fantastic four” will all perform again next week. Although the votes as Ryan explained aren’t wasted. Idol is going to add up the votes this week for each contestant to next weeks tally and it will all be revealed next week for an official “top 3″.
Here is a good summary of last nights results show from the Rolling Stone.
American Idol: Angie Miller Steals The Show In Top 4 Performance
Here are some of the judges comments:
Mariah Carey- “The caliber of that performance was beyond, absolutely stunning!”
Keith Urban- “That performance was a mini representation of why I love you as an artist.”
Randy Jackson- “I forgot it was a Jessie J song. 10 out of 10! That was my best performance of the night, Angie’s in it to win it!”
Nicki said: “No one compares to her when is behind the piano, and you worked a little rock in there as well, way to go honey child”
Angie’s next performance was “Cry Me A River” going along with the “one hit wonder” theme for the second half of the night. Again, she performed effortlessly with elegance and passion. Here are the judges comments:
Here is also a nice summary of the night from Hollywood Life:
Mariah Carey- “It was elegant and beautiful.”
Keith Urban- “Mystical, celestial, powerful.”
Nicki said: “You were snatching wigs tonight, tonight was your night.”
Randy Jackson- “Angie was best of the night, hands down!”
American Idol: Angie Miller Going Strong Making Top 4
After Ryan’s recap of Angie’s last night performances, mentor Jimmy Iovine says Angie was not believable in her second performance of Beyonce’s “Halo” which might effect the voting. To which judge Nicki Minaj says “Jimmy Iovine doesn’t know what he’s talking about, Angie was a 10 out of 10!”
Looks like Nicki knew what she was talking about since Angie’s name was called (no particular order) right after Candice in making the Top 4, as Janelle Arthur was sent home! One more week to go before Top 3 is revealed and home visits, keep voting for Angie everyone!

Nicki Minaj – “Now my Angie Miller is back! You just did that song justice like a queen could.”
Mariah Carey – “Very difficult to do a Beyonce song, I must say…you are here to stay, as far as I’m concerned.”
On Angie’s first performance she sat at the piano and sang a touching version of The Pretenders “I’ll Stand by You” in light of the tragedies surrounding Boston this week.
Keith Urban – “It was a beautiful dedication, Angie, you made a really good song choice.”
Nicki Minaj – “I love the way you feel tonight, the way you look at the dedication was a smart move, both as a performer and as a human being.”
Randy Jackson – “This Top Five girls is some of the best Top Five we’ve ever had in a long, long time”
Mariah Carey – “Perfect, of course, all of our hearts and prayers go out to everybody in Boston.”
American Idol: Angela Miller Reaction After Top 6 Performance
Of course Angie makes it through to the “Top 5″ performers, an all female group…here is their car ride home at the link below:
vine.co/v/btPuHlEMbPh
American Idol: Top 6 Results Night, Angie Sails Through
Group 1: Angie and Janelle
Group 2: Lazaro and Amber
Group 3: Kree and Candice
After a much suspense Ryan announced that Kree and Candice were in the Top group and were safe. Angie and Janelle were in the Middle Group and were safe as well. Making Lazaro and Amber in the bottom group as they went to another commercial. Then it was announced that Lazaro had the lowest amount of votes and would sing for a “save” but the judges declined and graciously thanked Lazaro for his memorable time on the show.
So the show is guaranteed to have its first female winner since season six’s Jordin Sparks, and we hope that winner is Angie Miller! But we must continue to vote for Angie!!!
Angela Miller’s Top 6 Week A Delightful Double Feature
Angie’s first song Anyone Who Had Heart, the Dionne Warwick hit that went along with the Bacharach/David theme was a fabulous choice. The judges commented that Angie sings effortlessly and has a great voice but that she lacks the passion to connect to the song.
The contestants were tasked in the second round to pick a song that “they wished they would have written themselves”. This time Angie sat down at the piano and sang an inspirational rendition of Love Came Down by Christian singer Kari Jobe with such earnestness which clearly brought back the praises of the judges.
Speaking of the judges, I must say after watching American Idol for several years that their critiques of the contestants are really getting to get on my nerves. Their typical old rehashed comments are really highlighting how little they prepare for the show or their inability to give constructive feedback “on the spot” after each performance. Sadly it seems like they are just searching for something to say and consistently have a hard time formulating an articulate helpful message. And sometimes they just follow what the first judge says, so if you don’t get good momentum from the beginning you’re doomed.
If there is one thing the judges are consistent about, it’s their inconsistent and ambiguous comments LOL. With Angie for example they go back and forth each week and end up contradicting their own advice the previous week.
One week: “You don’t need to be so overly dramatic”
Next week: “Angie, it’s just not passionate enough”
One week: “You really should rock out next time”
Next week: “You need to get back at the piano or you are going to lose”
Angie, take our advice please! Keep being the awesome artist you are and don’t worry about them, don’t let them get in your head, don’t even worry about anything they say because what they say doesn’t make any sense. You are picking great songs and singing them with feeling!
And one last thing for what it’s worth. The judges this year seem to have no unity or love for each other. Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey it’s obvious don’t like each other and can’t even look eye to eye. Nicki is very immature and mean with some of her comments. Mariah as nice as she is, really has trouble forming a sentence. Randy has become almost meaningless and his “Yo dog” and “pitchy” cliches are predictable and tiresome. Keith means well and seems to try at least but I think the show moving forward needs an entire new makeover. With the exception of Ryan Seacrest of course; he is fun, likable and manages the show effortlessly.
Here are some other comments from You Tube on Angie’s performances:
Angie your incredible don’t let anyone tell you different!:)
They can’t criticize her singing, so the only thing they can go after is the emotion angle which is silly. She always sings with passion.
This song was awesome, all the girls are singing great now but Angie’s voice engages me the most….especially at the piano.
You’re so amazing, don’t worry about the criticism because you’re doing extremely perfect. Keep doing your best, you’re so unique

Angela Miller Gets Here Own Wikipedia Posting In Google!
Angela “Angie” Kristine Miller (born February 17, 1994) is an American singer from Beverly, Massachusetts. She is currently a Top 8 finalist on the twelfth season of American Idol
Miller was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, to Guy and Tana Miller, and has an older brother, Jonathan.
When Miller was very young, doctors discovered that the protective covering over her eardrum was no longer there. She has had two surgeries to insert tubes in her ear. A month before her American Idol audition in New York in September 2012, she was fitted with silicon spray ear plugs. She is partially deaf, with 20% hearing loss in her right ear and 40% in her left.
She graduated from Beverly High School in 2012. In high school, Miller was a member of the choir for four years and the honors vocal ensemble for one year. She performed in multiple school musicals, including the role of Miss Dorothy in a rendition of Thoroughly Modern Millie.[3] An active member in her father’s church, she consistently helped lead music groups. Prior to auditioning for American Idol, Angie had a successful YouTube channel, earning a current total views of 2.3 million.
Miller’s parents currently lead a Christian church [Remix Church] in Salem, Massachusetts. Before her American Idol debut, Angie was the lead singer of the worship band at Remix Church.

“I’ve done a lot of slow songs in the show, so I love to just have fun this week on the stage,” Miller said last night about the made-in-Detroit theme.
The 2012 graduate of Beverly High School has scored points with judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, but has yet to win over her show mentor, producer Jimmy Iovine.
“He definitely says some interesting things,” she said, “but I take it to heart because he knows what he is talking about.”

Absolutely beautiful, she not only commands the stage, but delivers a performance that really is…Magnificent!!!
Jimmy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I’ve never gotten ‘pageanty’ vibes from any of Angela’s performances.
Angie is beautiful, but her beauty is in what she does and her passion in every song she does, she could sing Johnny row your boat ashore…and pull you into the performance that few singers can do.
What do you think, how did Angie do tonight? Leave a comment!

American Idol: I Can’t Stop Listening To Angela Miller Sing!!!!!
It’s actually past 1:30 am now, can’t sleep lol…and I’m eating popcorn, drinking grapefruit juice and feel like I’m in heaven as I sit back and enjoy video after video. I am floored at Angie’s superb vocal skills at just 19 years old. She sings with tenderness, passion, confidence, originality, and best of all humility….oh yea, she plays the piano and writes her own songs to! LOL! I guess it doesn’t hurt to come from a musical family as apparently her Mom, Dad and brother all sing and play instruments. I’m wondering what it must be like to hang out at the Miller’s house in Beverly Massachusetts around Christmas time! Angie, if you ever see this website and if you read this particular post, it would be a thrill for me to some day hear you sing one of your favorite Christmas songs with your family and post it on your You Tube channel.
Don’t be surprised if I start making a post every day with more of her channel videos. For now, here is Angie singing “You Are So Beautiful To Me” by Joe Cocker. Enjoy!
And here are some more fan comments from You Tube about this song:
Angie, YOU are so beautiful to me and that is not just skin deep!
Wow. Simply breathtaking!
I hope She still make videos on her Channel after she wins IDOL ![]()
Thank you American Idol for introducing Miss Angie to us.
A young Sheryl Crow?
I’m I the only one who think that she look like miley cyrus?
You must be the secret love child of Janis Joplin and Freddie Mercury.
You sing with so much passion (not the cheezy fake kind, very genuine). Grabbing big notes whenever you want without relinquishing that beautiful tone.
I don’t think American Idol has ever had their winner decided this early, she is so far ahead of everyone else it’s ridiculous

American Idol: Angela Miller Sings “Never Gone” By Coton Dixon
Angela Miller sings Never Gone.
“When you play the piano, that’s when I hear you the clearest and truest,” says Keith Urban. Nicki Minaj adds, “The trumpets should sound when you walk in the room, little girl … can I just get your album?” Randy says, “A star is born tonight, I love the honesty of your delivery…it is effortless.” While Mariah praises her song choice and consistency.
As well as other comments from You Tube:
Can she be anymore perfect?!
Better than the original.
She will not only win Grammys she will out-throne Taylor Swift.
Her name should be Angelic Miller because that is what her voice sounds like.
Man, gave me chills.
I wish to buy your winning album as soon as possible ![]()
GOD gave her a very captivating voice.
She is going further than any other idol.
Her voice catches me in such a way that she literally brings me to tears every time she sings.

Wicked awesome job, Angela. You rock!!!!
She has the voice, the emotional connection, the ability to command the stage but also humility.
I could see her being as big as Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood are now.
